Accessibility Statement for the Cafe Xoho Website

In recent years, websites have become the main platform for publishing the information and the various services offered by the Cafe to the general public.

The Cafe's website presents information about the Cafe, its menu, gallery, opening hours and contact options. The Cafe offers all-day breakfast, coffee, pastries and a pleasant atmosphere for families and adults. The Cafe is located at 73 Ben Yehuda Street, Tel Aviv.

The Cafe's goal in making the website accessible is to create equal opportunities in the online space for people with a variety of disabilities and for people who use various assistive technologies when browsing the internet.

Accessibility Adjustments on the Website

Accessibility adjustments have been made on this website in accordance with the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (IS 5568) for web content accessibility at Level AA, together with the recommendations of the WCAG 2.0 document published by the W3C, the international organization responsible for web standards.

The adjustments made on the website were tested using the most common browsers: Google Chrome, Edge and Firefox. For a pleasant and optimal browsing experience with screen-reading software, we recommend using the latest version of NVDA.

To make the website accessible to people with disabilities, numerous measures have been taken, including:

  • Using a clear and prominent outline when an element receives focus while the user navigates the website using the keyboard.

  • Using appropriate visual contrast between the text color and the background color.

  • Tagging headings in a correct hierarchical order according to the information they present and the structure of the page.

  • Using an accessibility plug-in that improves the user experience when browsing the website.

Adjustments made on the website for users of screen-reading software:

  • Adding appropriate alternative text to the images that appear on the website.

  • Using appropriate headings and tagging them according to the information they contain and the structure of the page.

  • Using appropriate and clear labels for the fields in the contact form.

  • Using simple and clear language on all pages of the website.

  • Using the aria-label attribute to adapt the information on the website for screen-reading software.

Using the accessibility component (accessibility plugin)

As part of the website accessibility process, a plug-in has been embedded that serves as an accessibility component, enabling convenient use, an improved user experience on the website and its adaptation for people with disabilities.

Browsing the website when using the accessibility plug-in is recommended in the latest version of the Google Chrome browser. When using other browsers that are not up to date, there may be compatibility issues between the action required and the change actually made on the website.

To activate the options available in the accessibility component, press the ESC key on the keyboard or click the wheelchair user icon at the bottom of the website.
